Channel 5 have confirmed that Big Brother 2011 will not be shown in the Republic Of Ireland.
Speaking to Total Big Brother, Channel 5 said -
“Unfortunately, we only have the rights to broadcast our programmes in the United Kingdom.We will be unable to transmit this programme in the Republic Of Ireland or make any online content accessible there.”
This is sure to disappoint many Big Brother fans in the Republic Of Ireland and could cause viewing figures for the show to fall.
Big Brother will return to most of our screens later this year.
