Product Placement On This Years Big Brother

Richard Desmond has unveiled plans for greater use of product placement on Channel 5, especially on Big Brother.
The new plans are designed to increase integration between Channel 5 and other Desmond owned media brands such as The Daily Star and OK! magazine. 
Mr Bampton from Richard Desmonds media company said - 
"Product placement is like a really golden nugget and if it's used with other components such as spot advertising, sponsorship, features in the newspapers and magazines and online as well then the whole value of it is increased" 
He also said they were looking at "a number of different partnerships" for Big Brother when it starts again this summer. This would mean instead of food labels been covered up as seen on Big Brother on Channel 4, the brands identities would be left uncovered for the watching public to see, generating more money for Channel 5 which would hopefully be re-invested into the show in the future. 
Big Brother is expected to start August 10th.
