Celebrity Big Brother is just over a week away and as launch night draws closer more potential celebrity Housemate names are popping up in the newspapers, including Tara Palmer-Tomkinson and Brian McFadden.
Tara Palmer-Tomkinson
Reality TV veteran Tara Palmer-Tomkinson is amongst the latest names to be rumoured for a stint living under Big Brother’s gaze. According to The Daily Mail the former I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! runner-up and Celebrity Fame Academy winner is said to be considering taking part in the show after other work offers dried up.
The Telegraph got in on the act reporting that the wife of the Speaker of the House of Commons, Sally Bercow, is also set to become a Celebrity Housemate. Receiving criticism from Tory MP Rob Wilson regarding the rumours Bercow responded to the claims on Twitter saying: “Now seriously tempted to go on Big Brother as riposte to those banging on about dignity of the Speaker’s office. I am not the Speaker!”
Another unnamed Tory MP told the Daily Mail: ‘With Mrs Bercow under 24-hour scrutiny, it is going to be impossible for her not to embarrass her husband and herself.’

The latest name reported by the Daily Star to be lined up for BB is American Pie actress Tara Reid. The tabloid claims that Tara is “a well-known wild child and party girl” who is “is not shy about flashing her 34C boobs”
Pamela Bach
Ex-wife of David Hasslehoff
On Monday The Daily Star reported that Pamela Bach, ex-wife of David Hasslehoff, who he once described her as a “gold-digging, druggie, bunny boiler” is also part of the upcoming Celebrity Big Brother lineup. An ex-Baywatch star and mother of David’s two daughters, the paper claims that Bach has declared 2011 as her “time to shine and show the world who Pamela is!”
The pair went through a bitter divorce in 2006 with Pamela alleging that David had subjected her to physical abuse, including breaking her nose. With this in mind David is sure to be a little nervous at the prospect of her entering the BB House.
Brian McFadden
Ex-husband of Kerry Katona
Closer Magazine reports that Kerry Katona fears that her ex-husband and Westlife star Brian McFadden will join her in the Big Brother House.
A source told the gossip mag: “She was told someone might pitch up to rattle her cage, but she assumed it’d be another ex, like Dan Foden or even Mark Croft. But she’s found out Brian’s back in Ireland a week before the show and she thinks he could be going in” adding, “Kerry’s been saying it’d break her heart being in the house with him because part of her still loves him.” We must admit it does sound like the kind of twist BB would like to deliver.
Celebrity Big Brother returns at 9pm on 18th August on Channel 5.
