Brian Won’t Be Writing His Own BB Catchphrases?

New Big Brother host Brian Dowling has given his first full on-camera interview since landing the BB presenting role exclusively to Channel 5 in which he suggests that he won’t be writing his own new Big Brother catchphrases.

The former Big Brother 2 winner and Ultimate Big Brother Housemate revealed that he is “deliriously exhilaratingly, extremely, I can’t f****ing believe it” excited that he is hosting the show in place of Davina McCall.

When asked what he was most looking forward to about his new job he replied “I would say just being there and being on the stage.” He added that he was also looking forward to interviewing Evicted Housemates in what he sees as “a very important aspect of the show”, even stating that he was looking forward to a “difficult interview” in which he could be quite serious with a Housemate regarding their actions in the House.

Admitting that he will need to tone down his campness and become more of a listener than a talker for the show Brian conceded that “In this situation it’s less about me and more about them.”

On the subject of catchphrases Brian said “I’ll have to check. There is gonna be catchphrases but I don’t know what they are”, suggesting that the BB producers will be defining his stamp on the show.

He added that had been putting ideas to the BB team for ways in which he could develop Davina’s “You are live on Channel 4, please do not swear” line saying he had suggested: “This is Brian, you are live on Channel 5, heeeey!” and “Big Brother House, this is Brian, you know what to do!” both of which had been met with a negative response
