Brian reveals who he told about his new job first, what he will do differently to Davina and ideal celebrity Housemates.
Brian Dowling has revealed that the first person he told he had been offered the job was his close friend and fellow Big Brother 2 Housemate, Narinder Kaur.
Speaking to New! Magazine Brian described the BB presenter role as “beyond any dream job” describing his disbelief upon receiving the call from Endemol.
In our earlier article we questioned how much of a stamp Brian could put on a show that has become so closely linked with Davina McCall. When asked what he will be doing differently he answered “I really don’t know yet. But the show’s going to look different for a start because I’m a guy.”
Brian has already decided on one change that he will bring to BB though – a colourful wardrobe. Asked if he will be wearing much black, the colour of choice for long running presenter Davina, the new host told New! Magazine that he will more than likely be going for bright colours when the show returns later in the month.
Resigned to the fact that comparisons will be drawn between himself and Big Brother’s Big Mother, Davina McCall, Brian has accepted that there is nothing he can do but “take criticism on the chin”, “I’m not Davina McCall and I’ve never claimed to be. I’m Brian Dowling and I love the show.”
Brian on Eviction Interviews:
“If someone’s done something really absurd and needs to be put in their place, then of course, it's time (for me) to step up.”
Brian on Dream Housemates:
“Britney Spears would be a-mazing. I’d like to see Octomum in there too” – not with all those kids we hope Brian!
Brian on Dating a Housemate:
“Maybe if they’re the winner…”
